29th Central Asian International Mining Exploration & Mining Equipment Exhibition

MINING AND METALS CENTRAL ASIA - 2021 AND KAZCOMAK - 2021: THE JOY OF THE LONG-AWAITED OFFLINE MEETING

On September 29, the largest industry exhibitions began their work: the 26th Central Asian International Exhibition “Mining Equipment, Mining and Processing of Ores and Minerals”. - Mining and Metals Central Asia 2021 and the 17th Kazakhstan International Exhibition of Road and Industrial Construction and Municipal Machinery Kazcomak 2021, both occupying two exhibition halls and an outdoor exposition. The events will last until October 1 at the Atakent Exhibition Center, the largest exhibition site in Almaty.

Given the long-forced break in the event, the entire large Mining and Metallurgy Community of Kazakhstan and international exhibitors welcomed the start of Mining and Metals CA and Kazcomak with great joy, as evidenced by the participation and attendance figures on the first day of the events. Among the guests of honour on the first exhibition day were Alexis Shakhtakhtinsky, Consul General of France in Almaty, Mario Zoos, Consul General of Germany in Almaty, and Andrey Kabanov, Deputy Trade Representative of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In spite of quarantine restrictions and difficulties in crossing international borders, 150 companies from 17 countries took part in the exhibition in 2021, including companies from Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Korea, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, Ukraine, and the USA, as well as national groups from Germany, Norway, France and the Russian Federation: Lipetsk, Kurgan, Kursk, Chelyabinsk, Penza and Tula Regions.

The participants exhibited innovative developments at their stands and demonstrated their achievements in the production of equipment, services, and design solutions in the field of MMC, as well as the currently relevant IT products for mining safety, digitalization, automation, and much more. The main players of the Central Asian MMC Sector, such as ERG, KazMinerals, Polymetal Eurasia, Kazakhmys, and Kumtor Gold, forwarded delegations consisting of specialists from different departments to strengthen partnerships, share experience, and find new suppliers

Special attention of the visitors on the first exhibition day was attracted by seminars and master classes, which were held within the framework of the Event's Business Program. ORIENTAL engineering company held a seminar on technical and technological solutions for dewatering concentrates of non-ferrous and ferrous metals, cakes of hydro-metallurgical production. The key subject of the master-classes organized by the autonomous Tech Garden Cluster Fund was “Efficient implementation of Industry 4.0 in MMC at the expense of state support instruments”. The speakers talked a lot about the implementation of innovations for subsoil users, shared practical cases on the application of Artificial Intelligence at the facilities of the mining and metallurgical industry and the experience of using Blockchain and Big Data technologies at industrial enterprises

A solemn signing of a memorandum on cooperation and the start of partnership between Iteca Kazakhstan Exhibition Company and the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce Business Association took place today, aimed at the successful development of international trade relations, including through Iteca's Exhibition and Conference Events.

Attendees noted full compliance with safety rules and sanitary and epidemiological measures both inside the pavilions and at the outdoor exposition. In addition to compliance with basic Anti-COVID Rules, including social distancing, use of PPE by attendees and visitors, use of antiseptics and disinfectants, cleaning and treatment of stands with disinfectants, a new registration system was successfully used, which allows to distribute visitor flows by time and thus maintain the recommended number of people in the exhibition pavilion. The Ashyq QR Code Scanning System has become a reliable security tool, which has made it possible to strictly exclude COVID-19-threatened visitors from the Exhibition.

Undoubtedly, Mining and Metals CA and Kazcomak Exhibitions are an extremely important link in the cooperation chain between enterprises of the Mining and Metallurgy sector of the Republic and their partners who are key suppliers of equipment and services from all over the world. The exhibitions have once again proven to be the largest, most authoritative and efficient platform for meetings and negotiations for both leaders and newcomers to the Mining & Metallurgy Sector.
